of righteous Indians who love our planet and have a passionate desire to act towards
conserving the environment thus making it a better place to live.
Green Indians aims at promoting a Green Lifestyle.
While many of us are very much aware of the problem of Global Warming, most of us
do not know about the little things we can do in our daily life which would help us to cut
emissions. We not only want to educate masses towards reducing greenhouse gases but
also reward them for doing their bit for the environment.
We believe that we all can contribute towards conserving the environment by following certain easy steps in our everyday life. Green Indians is all about creating this awareness, educating and motivating the masses on every aspect of living a green life.

 The site
“www.greenindians.in” not only educates a common man on the easy steps that
can be taken to cut emissions but also rewards them for all the small actions taken to save
the environment. The site has remarkable features like Green Tips, Shopping, Green Events
etc.
The site has a feature called “Reward Zone” in which the members can participate to
contribute their bit for the environment. The Reward Zone comprises of various activities
like “Post your Green tip”, “Share your Green Story” etc. The members are then rewarded
on the basis of their participation in the Reward Zone. The website also provides regular
conservation updates on Industrial tips, Power tips, Auto fuel tips and Household
tips. Green Indians conduct events like tree plantation drives, promotional campaigns,
music concerts etc. which help to spread a word on environment conservation. The Site also
features
Green Companies, Green celebrities, Green CEO’s, Green Products etc.
At the hands of ghazal maestro – “Jagjit Singh”
The first of its kind website “www.greenindians.in” was launched on 15th December 2009.
Green Indians was inaugurated at the hands of ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh who not only
supported the social cause but also conveyed a strong message of conserving the environment.
He was presented with a memento – “A sapling”.
While appreciating the initiative taken Jagjit Singh addressed to the audience saying - “It’s
a great opportunity for all of us to prove how much we love our planet. We as responsible
citizens should do our best to contribute towards the environment. Green Indians shall be the
platform for all of us to come together and act towards conserving the nature”.
“Conserve Environment” – Awareness Campaigns for the cause
Green Indians spearheaded with its “Conserve Environment” awareness campaign by
participating in several college festivals and industrial seminars with PCRA. To name a Few
colleges organizing these festivals were UDCT Mumbai, Sydenham College, Ruia College of
Arts & Science etc.
The students voluntarily participate in the awareness campaigns and thus pledge to
conserve environment. The events are well-received by the students of various colleges
who
visit the festival.
Several music concerts are organized in support of “Green Indians” thus promoting the
cause
in a big way, proceeds from which are further utilized towards other conservation
activities.
