Transportation accounts for 67% of oil use. Consider buying a highly fuel-efficient vehicle. A fuel- efficient vehicle, a hybrid vehicle, or an alternative fuel vehicle could save you a lot at the gas pump and help the environment. Get regular engine tune-ups and car maintenance checks to avoid fuel economy problems due to worn spark plugs, dragging brakes, low transmission fluid, or transmission problems. Replace clogged air filters to improve gas mileage by as much as 10% and protect your engine.

Save Fuel...Save Money...But Most Importantly Save the Mother Earth..
Led lights have more life, less wattage. More life means less garbage. It also produces less heat than other lights. Most commonly, HID or high-intensity discharge lamps are used for this; specifically metal halide bulbs. These are expensive, and have a short life span, especially compared to LEDs, but are vital if you want your home garden to produce the most potent and delicious herbs possible.

Most offices use paper cups and plates, along with disposable utensils. This can add considerably to the waste stream annually. Using reusable or recyclable food service items is a more eco-friendly option. Any office leftovers could be composted instead of just throwing it in the eco-friendly trash.

Whenever possible, select rechargeable batteries in your electronic devices. This reduces the number of batteries that need to be recycled or might make their way to the landfill.

Old office appliances and computers are better off being donated for reuse where they could be useful to people rather than paying for hauling to the eco-friendly dump where they release toxins for years to come. This includes printers, toners, coffee machines and refrigerators.
