More life means less garbage. It also produces less heat than other lights. Most commonly, HID or high-intensity discharge lamps are used for this; specifically metal halide bulbs. Most offices use paper cups and plates, along with disposable utensils. This can add considerably to the waste stream annually. Using reusable or recyclable food service items is a more eco-friendly option. Ask yourself before you buy it if the package can be Green recycled or reused in any way.
